The Department team took active part in developing:

– field spectrometer.

Project website

The device consists of two blocks – optical and computing. The optical block is a two-cannel spectrometer with high resolution, adjusted to measurements under field conditions. Except for measuring and basic channels the device is equipped with a channel of visualization for supervision of a site which is measured. Results of measurements in a digital form are recorded on a flash card or can be transferred to the computing block for accumulation in a database. The device is supplied with detectors of temperature, irradiance and the GPS-receiver for determining of geographical coordinates of a site where measurements are carried out. All these service data are registered together with a measured spectrum. A developed software WINCHL has two channels for processing of the data transferred from optical block – user's (subsystem USWHL) and for scientific purpose.

– superconducting gravimeter

Superconducting gravimetes represents spring type in which as analogue of a mechanical spring the magnetic returning force working on a trial superconducting body in a non-uniform magnetic field of superconducting rings or a constant magnet acts. Due to high stability of superconducting currents the spring is created highly stable áåçäèññèïàòèâíàÿ. In balance a trial body levitated in position where gravitational force is counterbalanced by the magnetic force working in an opposite direction. At change of gravitation the trial body starts to be shifted with this zero position and the electronic sensor of displacement makes a signal of a mistake. Change of a current in a managing ring the system of autofine tuning creates the additional magnetic field proportional to this signal which keeps a trial body in zero position. As returning force linear on a current measurement of a current in a managing ring provides linear measurements of changes of force of gravitation.
