IBM corporation has become one of the first worldwide known computer companies entering the Ukrainian market. An IBM Accredited Office was registered in Ukraine in October 1992. Mr. Karsten Schoeneborn was appointed as the first Country Manager and gained a reputation of an IBM founder in Ukraine.
During half of a year the company had succeeded in cooperetion with the customers and partners almost in every largest region of Ukraine which enabled the establishment of an IBM Services Company. Information Business Systems (IBS Ltd.) an IBM Local Services Organisation was founded in August 1993.
Today IBS has the status of an IBM Distributor. It provides comprehensive IT solutions and also operates as an IBM Services Company in Ukraine.
IBS successful operation on the market was achieved through combination of the western company methodology and the local requirements and standards of the Ukrainian market.
IBS covers the most important areas of information technologies:
Comprehensive IT solutions for corporate and enterprise customers.
Project management and system integration capabilities are recognised as the strongest IBS features. A separate department was organised in order to reach the most effective operation in this area. Complex projects activities usually include:
Cooperation with Business-Partners.
IBS strategy is aimed at attracting Business-Partners for products marketing and services at different market segments. «We would not be able to reach so persuasive results without partners, and we do hope to achieve even greater success through further cooperation», - IBS General Manager considers.
Serious results can be achieved through strict specialisation. Therefore, as a rule, each partner is concerned only with its market segment:
IBS warranty and post-warranty services.
IBM corporation has signed a long-term agreement with IBS on providing services for IBM equipment on the territories of Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus.
The service department is represented by highly professional engineers - specialists in information technologies, who obtained a special education in IBM training centres.
There is a network of the service centres in place covering almost all regions of Ukraine.
During more than 5 years IBM has been exploring the Ukrainian market in close cooperation with IBS. We highly appreciate partnership relationship between our two companies based on common goals and achievements. We do hope that in future IBS will continue promoting IBM products with even more success not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries like Moldova and Belarus.
