The
autonomous pack type welding device "ASA-3/R" is designed for
perfoming of short-term welding works under conditions of absence
of stationary electrical networks, and also in out-of-the-way places,
where the delivery of the traditional welding equipment is inconvenient.
It can to be recommended for use under conditions, of high electrosafety,
because power supplies system of the device is low-voltage (Ј24V).
The
welding device is carried out on base high-energy acid-leaden or alkaline
accumulators (see the structural-functional diagram of the device).
It is possible to use different power elements (batteries) with close
loading characteristics. A core of the device is the power unit, representing
by itself the inverter power supply, working from two consistently
connected storage-batteries with a voltage 12V and capacitance 45
А*hour (AB). Use of sufficient capacity storage-batteries as the power
buffer provides not only autonomy of a complex, but also its high
welding-technological properties.

The structural-functional diagram of the device
Structurally
the device represents a hard frame, executed on the basis of tubular
elements (see fig. above), on which two accumulators and power block
are fixed. Two variants of the power block accommodations and welding
cables connections are provided: both for right or left hand.
