RESONANCE WELDING POWER SOURCE "RSI -160m"

Source picture          The source "RSI-160m" is designed for welding of steel sheets and metal constructions by rutile type electrodes with diameter from 1,5 up to 4,0 mm.

         High technological properties of resonance welding sources of this type are determined in general by presence of capacitive reactor of a secondary contour. Application of a resonance contour in secondary circuits provides practically sine wave form of a curve of welding current and sharp decrease energy consumption of supply power, which allows operating from the room socket of a household supply through the counter of the electric power. The thermal protection of capacitive reactor, executed on a basis the bimetallic relay, is stipulated in the device.

         The welding equipment of the given class has got following advantages in comparison with traditional welding transformers:
- high level of electrosafety, because of application of the special circuit solutions, limiting a voltage of a open circuit not more 38V;
- high efficiency (
³ 80 %);
- cos
0,95, provided by a construction of device;
- minimum level of interferences, generated in a network and evironmental space;
- reduction (!!!) of power consumption in 1,5 - 2 times at short circuit in a welding contour (in known types of welding devices it is usual growing in 2,5 times);
- low concentration of diffusion hydrogen in a joint, that improves strength properties of a joint.
